5-wire Racing Muzzle - Big breeds

5 wire version of original Australian Millers Muzzle racing muzzle. The dense muzzle is suitable for dogs that come to the lure with high intensity.

Differences between large breed 3- and 5-wire muzzles:
- The 5-wire muzzle is not quite as deep as the 3-wire version, please take this into account when evaluating the suitability of this muzle
- The front part of the 5-wire muzzle is square, in the 3-wire it is curved
- The 5-thread muzzle has 5 threads when viewed from the side, the 3-thread has 3 threads

For example, the orange muzzle is suitable for large Whippets, for whom the standard 3-wire muzzle of large breeds is too deep and the White Whippet muzzle is too narrow. If, on the other hand, you feel that the 3-wire of large breeds is sufficiently deep, the depth of the 5-wire may not be enough. 

The sizes of Millers Muzzles are marked with different colors. The size is selected based on the length of the muzzle. See measurement instructions below.

Millers competition muzzles are measured from the tip of the dog's nose to the end of the jawbone, attached is an illustrative picture where you can see how the measurement should be taken. Choosing the right racing muzzle size requires accurate measurement, if you are between two sizes, choose the larger one. 

Add 1,25-2cm to the measurement result to see what lenght muzzle is suitable for your dog.

Muzzle has to be adjusted to make it fit perfectly. It's easy, so for this reason you should also take a bigger size, you can shorten its length. You can carefully peel off the plastic cover from the wires on the neck or muzzle and then shorten the steel wire with pliers. You can use pliers to bend the wire again to close the hood.
